push the fruit. If you blow it, or push it with any other part of your body you
will be disqualified. |

girls and two boys from each class. RULES
Objective:
To score the lowest amount of points. There
will be one less chair than their are people. Chairs should be set up in alternating
directions. People walk around the chairs in a large circle until the music stops.
When the music stops all Sit. The person standing is eliminated from the game
and one chair is pulled. Continue in this fashion until all but one person is
eliminated. Scoring
will be as follows: As each person is eliminated they will be assigned a number
(e.g.. The first person out will be #8, the second out #7, all the way through
#1. When the game is concluded add the four scores for the members of each class.
The class with the lowest score wins, second lowest 2nd and so forth. |

Objective To
get as many students on the mat as possible, without any falling off. Students
will swing on a rope to the mat. The first person up will be handed the rope.
After that no help will be given getting the rope. The person up must start in
front of the line and swing to the mat. If any part of their body touches the
floor on the other side of the line they are disqualified, which ends that classes
turn. Once a person swings out to the mat they may not return to the floor, even
on the right side of the line. Students will continue to swing to the mat until
someone falls off. At that point a count will be taken to determine the number
of students on the mat. |

Objective:
To do the most chin-ups Student
may be boosted to the bar. Hands must be forward. Chin must pass above the bar
then go down until arms are completely extended to count as one pull-up. Feet
or body must not touch wall. Count ceases when student can no longer pull chin
past the bar. If feet or body touch the wall, the student will be disqualified.
Student is given one chance only. Scoring
is based on the number of pull-ups completed. The person completing the most pull-ups
is given first place and so on. |

To hold one’s chin above the bar the longest. This is a timed event. Hands
must be forward. Student may be boosted to the bar. Chin must remain above the
bar and not touch it. Feet or body may not touch the wall. If chin touches bar
or goes below bar, that ends time. If feet or body touch wall student is disqualified.
Student is given one chance. Longest time is 1st, shortest time is 4th. |

Objective:
To keep the hackey-sack in the air for the longest period of time The
four students will stand in a circle. One student will start with the hackeysack
in their hand. At the start of the clock, the hackeysack is tossed into the air
and the participants use legs, chest, head, torso, etc., to keep the hackeysac
“afloat”. At no time should the hackeysack stop moving. Arms and hands may not
be used. In order for the timing to count, each person in the team must touch
the hackeysack at least once; however, there should not be any player who is clearly
dominating the game (i.e. one student who is good at hackeysack continually passes
it to themselves to prolong the time). The team that keeps the sack in the air
for the longest period of time is the winner. The rest of the places are given
in order from longest to shortest time. |

Skills
Needed: Good general fund of knowledge, a decent basic vocabulary, and an ability
to think on one’s feet. Object
of the game: To get your teammates to guess as many words (designated for you
on the Taboo cards) as possible within the time allotted without using
any of the Taboo words listed on the card. Procedure:
Teams alternate taking short turns, with one person giving clues to the words
and the rest of the team guessing. The opposite team keeps track of the timer
and designates someone to oversee the clue giver and beep them if they use one
of the taboo words in trying to get their team to guess. Play will end with teams
having had equal opportunities to guess. Scoring:
Teams get a point for each word correctly guessed within the time allotted. The
opposite team gets one point for any word for which the clue giver was beeped
(because s/he used a taboo word in giving the clues…) or for any cards which the
clue giver elects to skip. Other
rules will be specified at the game. |

Objective:
To finish drinking out of a baby bottle in the least amount of time. You
must drink and finish all of the drink out of the baby bottle through the nipple.
First one to finish all of the drink is the winner. All contestants need to finish
their drink so that 2nd, 3rd and 4th places can be determined. Biting a larger
hole in the nipple will result in a disqualification. |

5 points In the event of a tie each class will be given the same score. STUDENTS PARTICIPATING Two students from each class will represent each of the 3 languages,
French, Latin, Spanish. A total of SIX (6) students are needed for each class. RULES One language at a time will search for vocabulary
words requested by judge from a pile on the floor. The words used are words that
have been learned in class up to Winter Carnival. Students will stand with their
backs to the pile until given the signal to begin the search. Words will be requested
in English. They are printed on flashcards in the target language in a pile on
the floor. For Freshmen, the words are level one vocabulary. For sophomores,
level two. For juniors, level three. For seniors in French & Spanish, the
words will be level four. For seniors in Latin classes, the words will be level
three vocabulary. A maximum of 10 words will be played per level. This is a game of recall and speed. The first team to bring each
word to the judge scores 1 point, the second team scores 2 points, the third team
scores 3 points, the fourth team scores 4 points. Any team that does not discover
their word within the state time limit will be assigned 5 points. Low score at
the end of each round will win. |

To climb up and down the peg board to score the most pegs. Each hole pegged counts
as one. Each contestant must go all the way up and all the way down pegging each
hole as they go. They are not allowed to skip holes or move only between two or
three holes. Student may not touch the wall with their feet. If they skip holes,
do not travel completely up and down, or touch wall with their feet they are disqualified. |

table. 2. Return must be hit after ball bounces on your side and cross directly

The class with the most points will receive 1st place, next best 2nd and so on
through 4th place. 6.
In case of a tie, 30 sec. will be put on the clock in order to break the tie.

The females will use a girls ball and males will use a boys ball

To make the most baskets out of ten within ten seconds per shot. If
you go over the foul line the shoot does not count and you cannot redo it. You
have one warm up shot before the clock starts. When you are given the ball you
have ten seconds to shoot. Scoring

two scores (boy and girl) for each class will be added together for one combined
score. The highest will be first, second highest second and so on to fourth place. |

wood must be split into two complete sections for a score to count. Scoring:
100 points-Perfect hit. 19
points-Dot paint on both sides of wood 10

Females and 3 males on the court at all times Coin
toss will determine the team that serves first The
server must serve the ball within 10 seconds from the time they receive the ball Either
team can score a point during the game, regardless of which team is serving. If
your team is serving and you lose the point the other team will serve. (Sideout) This
is a timed event, the team with the most points when time expires will be declared
the winner. There
will be on time outs If
there is a tie we will have a 3-minute overtime period. Players
playing in the back row cannot spike or block in front of the 10-foot line. |

PARTICIPATING
Ten girls and ten boys from each class. RULES The
first game is Seniors vs. Sophomores and then Juniors vs. Freshmen to determine
pairings for the volleyball game the following day. 1.
Each team consists of 10 girls and 10 boys. 2.
Games consist of four 5 minute quarters (running time) 3.
1st and 3rd quarters: girls
2nd and 4th quarters: boys 4.
Contact will be kept to a minimum 5.
3 officials will ref. the game. 6.
3 fouls in a quarter will disqualify that player and the team will have to play
shorthanded for the remainder of that quarter. 7. Players will
not argue with any of the official's calls. |
EVENT:
Rock, Paper, Scissors Showdown PARTICIPANTS:
Four students from each class RULES:
16 total students will go head-to-head in a "Sweet 16" style pairings
bracket. Each head-to-head challenge will include the best 3 out of 5 throws.
Standard Rock, Paper, Scissors rules apply: Rock breaks Scissors, Paper covers
Rock, Scissors cuts Paper. Judges' decisions are final. The winner of the showdown
moves on in the bracket, until there is a champion declared. SCORING:
The longer the participant stays in the competition, the lower the score. Goal
is to have the LOWEST total for all participants in each class. Lowest score is
first place, etc. |

One layer cakes, white frosting, food coloring and decorating tools will be provided
for each team of two. The team gets one hour to decorate their cakes based on
the Winter Carnival theme. Judges will look at use of color, design, originality
and execution. |
EVENT:
Multiple-Hula Hooping PARTICIPANTS:
One student from each class RULES:
Students will begin using one hula hoop, twirling at the hips, and at intervals
assigned by the judge, they must add hoops until keeping up the hoop is no longer
possible. The student who lasts the longest is the winner. |
EVENT:
Speed Pictionary PARTICIPANTS:
Four students from each class RULES:
Pictionary cards are used, but not the board. A card is drawn, and one member
of the team draws for the three guessers. In two minutes, the team must successfully
guess as many items on the card as possible. The winning team will be the one
with the most points at the end of the hour. |
