Thoroughly Modern Millie

Coe-Brown Northwood Academy Theatre to Present Thoroughly Modern Millie

It’s New York City in the summer of 1922 when Millie Dillmount arrives with stars in her eyes and a mission to make a new life for herself, to become a modern woman.  CBNA Theatre will share Millie’s journey with its production of Thoroughly Modern Millie on March 4 at 7 pm and March 5 at 2 pm and 7 pm in the Gerrish Gym on the CBNA campus. This high spirited musical romp shows a New York full of intrigue and jazz, a time when women were entering the workforce and the rules of love and social behavior were changing forever.  Nearly forty students are involved in the bringing the production to the stage.  Junior Samantha Lepicier plays the title role and will be joined on stage by seniors Aleisha Ashe, Monique Bartlett, Maggie Blake, Alec Michael Correa, Cameron Durgin, Brandon Marshall, Caitlin Philbrick, and Heather Ward; juniors Beau DeVeau, Andrew Dow, Anna Goodell, Greg Hatfield, Tom Massison, Kendall McGowan, Matt Paganelli, Quinn Palmer, Tim Tuttle, Isaac Wilson, Emily Yurek; sophomores Marianna Barnhart, Ryan Cunningham, Kylie Gagnon, Rachel Hinrichsen, Kestyn Ritchotte, and Noelle Struthers; and freshmen Kennedy Chaney and Jessica Gallant.  The production is directed by faculty member Elizabeth Lent with music direction by David Deardorff.  Reserved tickets are $8 for adults and $6 for students and seniors and will be on sale starting Monday, February 28, 2011, in the CBNA office, by calling 942-5531 or by emailing elent@coebrown.org.
