CBNA Fills New Assistant Headmaster Position

 

(Northwood, N.H.) The Coe-Brown Northwood Academy (CBNA) Board of Trustees is pleased to announce that CBNA faculty member Caryn Lasky has been named as the Academy's assistant headmaster of finance and educational administration. For the past 15 years, Ms. Lasky has taught English at Coe-Brown and she has served as curriculum coordinator for the Academy's English Department since 2006.

This newly created position will be part of Coe-Brown's administrative staff including headmaster David S. Smith, Assistant Headmaster Paul W. Davis, Jr., and Dean of Student Services Sally Aseltine. In her new capacity, Ms. Lasky will assist in the planning and execution of programs related to finance, business and educational administration by coordinating the development of the overall operating budget and supervising the operation of the Academy's finance office.

"I am thrilled that Caryn will be our assistant headmaster for finance and educational administration," says Mr. Smith. "She has been a valued member of our staff for many years and her classes have always been popular with our students. Caryn will be a tremendous asset as we continue to chart the course for Coe-Brown's future."

Ms. Lasky completed her undergraduate studies at Wells College in Aurora, New York, and received her master of education in educational administration and supervision from the University of New Hampshire. The subject of her master's thesis was "Current Practices in Teacher Evaluation." She is certified by the New Hampshire State Board of Education in English education for grades 5 through 12.

Coe-Brown Northwood Academy (CBNA), founded in 1867, is a small co-educational public-private secondary school accepting students in grades 9-12 and offering the highest quality curriculum of studies. The academy campus is located on the shores of Harvey Lake in Northwood, New Hampshire.
