CBNA Theatre will present Anon(ymous), by Naomi Iizuka, a compelling, modern retelling of the classic saga of The Odyssey on October 28 and 29, 2010, at 7 pm and October 30, 2010 at 2 pm in the Gerrish Gym on the CBNA campus. This drama tells the tale of young refugee called Anon, who has been separated from his mother, as he journeys through the United States, encountering a wide variety of people -- some kind, some dangerous and cruel -- while he searches for his family. From a sinister one-eyed butcher to beguiling barflies to a sweatshop, Anon must navigate through a chaotic, ever-changing landscape in this entrancing adaptation of Homer's Odyssey. Cast members include seniors Aleisha Ashe, Maggie Blake, Anthony Carideo, Allie DeFlumeri, Almarin Fisher, Hannah Jones, Caitlin Philbrick, Nick Sylvester, and Heather Ward; juniors Beau DeVeau, Anna Goodell, Greg Hatfield, Samantha Lepicier, Kendall McGowan, Matt Paganelli, Quinn Palmer, Hannah Silverman, Isaac Wilson, and Emily Yurek; sophomores Marianna Barnhart, Ryan Cunningham, Kylie Gagnon, Allison Irish and Kestyn Ritchotte; and freshmen Grace Axelrod, Taylor Bowden, Shane Chittum, Jess Gallant, Ally LaFrance, Kayli Miles, Amy Morrow, and Alex Wadleigh. Anon(ymous) is directed by faculty member Elizabeth Lent. This production is not recommended for younger audiences due to some images of violence contained in the content. In addition, prior to the performances, cast members will be collecting non perishable food items as part of the CBNA Thespian Society Troupe 5976 Trick or Treat so Kids Can Eat Project. Reserved tickets for the show are $8 for adults and $6 for students and seniors and will be on sale starting Wednesday October 20, in the CBNA office, by calling 942-5531 or by emailing elent@coebrown.org.
