Northwood, NH - Coe-Brown Northwood Academy is proud to announce that junior Anna Goodell from Strafford participated in the 2011 Music Educators National Conference (MENC) All-Eastern Festival in Baltimore, MD from March 31-April 3. Anna, a soprano, was chosen to sing with the All-Eastern Honors Chorus and rehearsed with some of the best musicians from 12 states across the eastern part of the country, from Maine to Maryland. To be eligible for this festival, students must audition and be selected for ensembles at the District, Regional, and State levels. The All-Eastern Festival is one of the highest levels of achievement that a high school student musician can reach. The 2011 MENC All-Eastern Honors Ensembles performed for an audience of thousands on Sunday, April 3, 2011, in Baltimore. Anna, daughter of Scott and Donna Goodell of Strafford, is a junior at Coe-Brown Northwood Academy and over the past three years has been selected to participate in the Concert All-State Festivals, Jazz All-State Festivals, and New England Music Festivals. She recently was accepted to the Walnut Hill School for the Arts in Natick, Mass., as a musical performance major where she will be attending for her senior year.
