COMMUNITY BASED INSTRUCTION

Community Based Instruction is a program, now in its sixth year, designed to give support to upperclassmen as they transition in to the post-secondary school community. Group dynamics, economic principles, vocational job shadows, cultural enrichment and independent living skills are all addressed in a format that combines activities in the classroom as well as off campus.

Walk

Here is this year’s class after a walk on Harvey Island.

Clearing

Occasionally, we help keep path clear of fallen tree limbs on Harvey Island.

Cards

Making photographic greeting cards is one of the ways students work with economic concepts and earn some money for the field trips.
