Criteria for student acceptance into Assisted Study
  • May not be performing academically or socially at full potential
  • May be showing signs of disorganization
  • May be failing to complete homework assignments on time
  • May be showing lack of effort or motivation
  • May be referred by a parent, teacher or the student involved
  • May be struggling with adjustment following transfer from another school
  • Must be placed by Guidance Counselor, Headmaster or Education Board
  • Must not be receiving special education services.

Criteria for discharge of students from Assisted Study

  • By recommendation of the Guidance Counselor, Headmaster or Education Board
  • At the request of the parent in consultation with guidance
  • At the request of the student, with parental approval, upon qualification for honors study (all 1’s and 2’s in effort and conduct with no failing grades)
  • Upon acceptance into the Special Education Program
